Terms of Service — Agent Payment Routing Addendum
Last updated · May 16, 2026
This addendum supplements the gotcontext.ai Terms of Service and applies when a tenant enables agent-to-agent payment routing (controlled by the nevermined_enabled or skyfire_enabled tenant flags). If neither flag is on for your account, this addendum has no effect.
gotcontext.ai is a non-custodial routing layer. Payments settle directly between the buyer’s agent wallet and the payment-rail vendor. See the full policy below and the sub-processors page for the data categories shared with Nevermined and Skyfire.
Non-custodial routing
gotcontext.ai is a non-custodial routing layer. gotcontext.ai never holds, receives, or transmits buyer or seller funds. Payments settle directly between the buyer’s agent wallet and the payment-rail vendor (Nevermined, Skyfire, or any x402-compatible facilitator configured for your account). gotcontext.ai’s role is limited to: (a) verifying the cryptographic payment token presented in the payment-signature or skyfire-pay-id request header against the vendor’s published JWKS endpoint, and (b) instructing the facilitator to execute settlement after a successful compression response.
Money-transmission status
gotcontext.ai is not a money transmitter, money service business, payment institution, or payment processor under US federal law (31 U.S.C. § 5330), US state money-transmitter statutes, or equivalent EU/UK regulations. gotcontext.ai provides a technical verification and instruction service; the actual money-transmission relationship is between the buyer agent, the seller agent, and the payment-rail vendor. Customers are responsible for determining whether their own use of agent payment rails requires licensing or registration in their jurisdiction.
Liability boundary
By enabling agent payment routing, the buyer agent and seller agent each acknowledge that:
- The payment-rail vendor (Nevermined, Skyfire) is the responsible party for settlement, dispute resolution, chargebacks, and fraud prevention at the payment layer.
- gotcontext.ai disclaims all liability for failed settlements, disputed charges, fraud losses, wallet errors, or incorrect amounts at the payment-rail layer.
- gotcontext.ai’s liability for any payment-routing-related claim is limited to the fees paid by the customer to gotcontext.ai in the 30 days preceding the claim, not to the value of any payment transaction routed.
Buyer-agent identity verification
Identity verification of buyer agents (including any Know Your Agent / KYA claims) is performed at the payment-rail layer by the respective vendor. gotcontext.ai relies on cryptographic token verification via the vendor’s JWKS endpoint; we do not independently verify the identity, legal status, or jurisdiction of any buyer or seller agent. Token signing material never passes through gotcontext.ai’s infrastructure.
Audit logging
gotcontext.ai logs the following fields for each payment-routed request, for accounting and reconciliation purposes:
- Token ID hash (SHA-256 of the token identifier; not the token itself)
- Facilitator name (e.g.,
nevermined,skyfire) - Settlement status (pending / confirmed / failed)
- Amount charged in micros (e.g.,
1000000= $1.00 USD)
gotcontext.ai never logs, stores, or transmits token signing material, private keys, wallet seed phrases, or raw payment credentials. Logs are retained for 90 days on Business tier; configurable on Enterprise Dedicated.
Suspension
gotcontext.ai may suspend a tenant’s agent payment routing feature without advance notice if: (a) the tenant violates these Terms, (b) gotcontext.ai receives a credible report of fraud or unauthorized use, or (c) the upstream payment-rail vendor terminates or suspends gotcontext.ai’s API access. Where practicable, gotcontext.ai will notify the tenant within 24 hours of suspension and provide a path to reinstatement.
Changes to this addendum
gotcontext.ai will provide at least 30 days’ prior written notice of material changes to this addendum. Notice will be delivered via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of agent payment routing after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
This addendum is governed by the same governing law and venue as the parent gotcontext.ai Terms of Service. In the event of conflict between this addendum and the parent Terms, the parent Terms prevail unless this addendum expressly states otherwise.
Document fingerprint
This page renders the content of docs/legal/terms.md from the gotcontext.ai repository. The SHA-256 fingerprint below is enforced at API boot via TOS_AGENT_PAYMENT_HASH — procurement reviewers can use it to verify they are reading the same document version the running API has accepted.
